This should serve as two 5 star reviews because my family has been with Joel twice already. Finding a trustworthy and reliable mechanic is tough. Finding one who is also personable and friendly is even more challenging. Joel and his staff are that and more. Our first experience with Joel was with my brother-in-law's vehicle, an older vehicle that posed a number of issues in the past. Though he was quoted hundreds more by both dealership and other private mechanics, Joel was able to do the job right for a lesser cost and without my brother-in-law having to negotiate/haggle. My second experience with Joel was my own. My car needed repair. Admittedly, Joel was the first person I contacted. A prudent decision. He treated me with respect, just like he would his own mother - I've witnessed that first hand and she's a sweet lady. The job was done in less time than another had stated (I did my research) and I'm happy to say that my car is in functioning order. He did give me a lesser rate for their typical hourly labor charge - it appears he does what he can where he can. All in all, I'm thrilled to say that I'm just another one of those happy customers of Joel's. I don't know what else to add to his already unsurpassed reviews but that he works honestly, a rarity in his industry. He and his staff's good work is evident. Go to Carcanix. Simple.
